PLANNING THE DETAILS
Provide the make and model of the new dishwasher and say whether the old unit is still installed. Include a photo of the cabinet opening and the surrounding floor and cabinetry. Mention whether the previous appliance worked normally or whether there were leaks or connection problems. These details help separate a straightforward replacement inquiry from one that may require additional work around the appliance.
Adding a dishwasher where there was not one before is different from replacing an existing unit. Describe the cabinet space, nearby sink and any known connection arrangements without removing panels or disturbing plumbing or electrical fittings to take pictures. Cabinet alterations, connection changes and finishing repairs should be identified as separate scope items rather than assumed to be included with installation.
Tell us when the new appliance is expected to arrive and whether it will already be at the property. Include stairs, tight doorways, parking restrictions or other access details. State whether you want the old appliance removed from the kitchen or taken away from the property. A delivery appointment, installation request and disposal arrangement are separate steps until the responsibilities have been confirmed.
